FAQ:
Do tables cost? We do not charge for tables, we do the “Ask” at the dinner. We hope you bring your Big ‘ol Heart and giving “spirit”!
What are the accommodations for the event? We hold the sunset dinner in our large indoor arena with the doors open which allows guests to have the beautiful canyon views.
What should I wear? Your best western duds! Boots, jeans, jackets, skirts, etc. your favorite country cocktail attire. Western hat too! Don’t hold back! And remember to bring a jacket for the cooler evening temps.
What is the dinner and beverage menu? 5:00 - 6:00 Carley Du-Menil-Martinez from "Hotel Turkey" will be serving their famous “prickly pear margaritas” YUM! We also have a “14 Hands Wine Tasting” from Republic Distributing Company wine selections for cocktail hour. Grab your favorite beverage and fun friends and take a “hayride” through Dove Creek’s canyon as the sun sets on the canyon walls. Who knows what critters you might see!
6:15/6:30 Begin seating in the arena. We have the best chefs in Texas preparing mouth watering barbecue and sides for your dinner that will put a smile on your face. Its deeeeeelicious!
7:15 - 8:00 Program - Laurie Higgins-Kerley and Ali McEwen will share highlights of the year along with some other voices of Dove Creek Equine Rescue. You might even see a horse or 2 in the arena…… maybe!
Will there be Entertainment? 8:00 on….After the dinner and speakers, we will move to the eclectic groove of Antonio Charles and the “Fwoops” - jazz, country, pop - they play it all!

From Canyon, go west on Hwy 60 approximately 6 miles toward Hereford, turn left onto City Lake Rd, cross RR tracks and road dead ends into DCR. Go through 1st cattle guard approx. 1 mile then continue straight and come through 2nd cattle guard. The road will lead to the large arena.
IF TRAIN IS BLOCKING THE TRACK - go back 1/2 mile east to ARNOT ROAD - Turn right onto Gordon Cummings Rd then go about 1/2 mile. Take a right and you will see the entrance to Dove Creek on your right (intersection of Gordon Cummings and City Lake Rd)
